The MHS is an independent research library and manuscript repository specializing in collections of personal papers and rare books of New England families. As such, we do not maintain lists of historic properties in the state.
To determine if your property has historic status you should contact the Massachusetts Historical Commission, an organization with a similar name but different mission. The MHC is a department in the office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth and maintains lists of historic properties around Massachusetts and also provides oversite and reviews for state and federal preservation programs. They have an online database called the Massachusetts Cultural Resource Information System (MACRIS) which you can use to look up properties by location, historic name, architectural style, and more.
