Upon arrival for your first visit to the library, plan for 20-40 minutes to complete your registration and library orientation. If you created a Portal1791 account in advance of arrival at the MHS, the process will take less time (closer to 20 minutes) than it will if you need to create your Portal1791 account onsite.
